Do I have to be VAT registered to access asset finance?

No, you don’t necessarily have to be VAT-registered to access asset finance.  If your business turnover is below the VAT threshold (currently €37,500 for services or €75,000 for goods in Ireland), you may still be eligible for asset finance, but it depends on the type of finance, the lender’s requirements, and the nature of your business.  In some cases, lenders may require the VAT to be paid as a deposit for certain finance agreements, typically if you are VAT registered only though.
